It all started when I got my first professional drone. I had always been flying RC planes and helicopters and messing with my grandfather’s camera. A drone was the perfect platform to combine my hobbies. I took and passed the FAA Part 107 test to be able to fly commercially and landed my first gig while still in high school.

Since then I have worked with realtors, builders, lawyers settling eminent domain cases, and private individuals. From shooting houses for MLS listings or helping people build their new homes I have always strived to provide quality service. Buttery smooth footage with dynamic movements to help showcase whatever is it the client is displaying.

When shootings landscapes, I tend to use my drone over my mirrorless always looking for new ways to show off popular locations.

“The Falls at Living Waters"

Waterfalls are by far my favorite subject to shoot. Using my drone to shoot long exposure can be challenging but it can be extremely rewarding when I get a sharp image. The Falls at Living Waters Ministry are my favorite in North Carolina. Specifically, Mill Shoals Falls sits directly below a beautiful historic and bright red grist mill. The pools below the falls are the intersection of Shoal Creek and the north fork of the French Broad River and offers a perfect spot to cool off in the summer, and exceptional beauty year round. This was shot at 1/5th of a second, in the summer of 2018.

“Life and Death”

This image consists of 5 frames, tilting my camera a few degrees up after each shot, merged to create a taller, more telling image. This is my preferred method for creating wider views, and helped me capture the full scale of Wayah Bald fire tower and the scars from wildfires that ravaged the area in 2016.

Video Services

I teamed up with Highlander Roofing Services based in Franklin NC to showcase a few of their recently completed projects. Utilizing my drone to get up above the new roofs was the perfect way to glide across the top of the building and show the detail and craftsmanship of their workers.

Inspections

Living on the side of a mountain has its perks such as having incredible views the of mountain landscape. It can also lead to problems due to heavy rains, high winds, and insects or animal intrusion. This homeowner reached out to me for help identify a problem area in their great room. Bugs had made their way in through the top of the highest window via the flashing and moisture was also becoming a problem. Due to the height of the window, as well as the steep grade of the ground below, to get an accurate understanding of the issue would have required a large amount of scaffolding. I was able to help identify the problem, saving the homeowner time and money by using my drone to safely scale the high window. I also provided a quick view of his roof and drainage systems and found areas that needed to addressed.
